The Jenn Jinsai
Created from the joining of Lightsaber technology and the melee weapon construction techniques of the Jenn Jinsai, the Lightlance has come to be a prominent weapon among the Jenn on Altara.
While still employing the Warblade and the growing practice of Lightsaber use, the Jenn sought out new ways to increase their prowess in fighting new, larger enemies. While retaining the use of melee weapons, the Jenn incorporated the principles of the Mara’sai polearm weapon with a Lightsaber. The Jenn were also fortunate enough to come across Phrik deposits in which they were able to mine to craft into these new weapons. The end result was the Lightlance, a 1.7 meter long weapon with a axe-like head on one end and a Lightsaber on the other.
Since it’s creation, the Lightlance has been refined into a contemporary weapon along galactic standards. The melee side of the weapon has been crafted to employ vibro technology, putting it a step above the Jinsai weapons of old.
RPG D6 StatsEdit
Model: Jenn Lightlance
Type: Exotic Melee Weapon
Skill: Lightsaber: Lightlance
Range: 0 to 2-3 meters
Availability: 4, X
Difficulty: Moderate(melee), Very Difficult(saber blade)
Damage: STR+3D(melee), 5D(lightsaber)
Game Notes: Proper use of a Lightlance requires the specialization “Lightsaber: Lightlance.” Without the proper specialization, the difficulty to use a Lightlance is one grade higher than normal (ie, Heroic), and none of the special benefits of the Lightlance may be used. If used with the blade projected, a Lightlance is treated as if it were a normal lightsaber with a extremely long hilt. If properly trained, a Jedi wielding a Lightlance gains a +5 bonus to all parry rolls made. If an attacking character misses the difficulty number by more than 10 points (the base difficulty; not their opponent’s parry total), the character has injured himself with the lightsaber. Apply normal damage to the character wielding the lightsaber.
Due to the construction techniques used in it's creation, the melee side of the weapon may be used to parry other melee weapons and even Lightsabers. Normal rules apply.
