Called the “Machine World” by some, Gixx was one of the first Antrixian colonies founded following the formation of the Commonwealth. Due to its large veins of ore and naturally dry conditions, Gixx was perfectly suited for mining and industrial production. As mining operations increased, so did the automated systems for mining and manufacturing. Eventually there would come to be more droids than Antrixians on Gixx.
Gixx is governed by House Ordos, which oversees to smaller population and operations on the planet.
Gixx has one of the most inhospitable atmospheres within the Commonwealth. Most of the citizens from Gixx are in poor health due to air pollution and toxic waste. There are also large amounts of unexplained disappearances that occur on Gixx.
