Engstrom Trust |
Cyyla was the homeworld to the Cyylehn species, located in the Western Reaches of the Inner Rim territories. While the planet was considered part of the Engstrom Trust, it was virtually ignored for centuries due to the violent nature of the natives. It wasn't until the days of the Galactic Empire that Cyyla became somewhat important.
Cyyla was considered a harsh planet, not only because of it's arid and rugged environment, but also because of the Cyylehn's eagerness to hunt other sentients for sport and food. During the history of the world, it was used as a base and training facility for a group of Force users known as the Grey Circle. At some point before the official start of the Galactic Civil War, Cyyla became a focal point for Imperial weapon testing and development.
During the testing phase of a new weapon type by the Imperials, a series of catacombs were unearthed, which led to the abandoned, subterranean citadel used by the Grey Circle. The Yakoza and the Imperials safeguarded this finding zealously after it was confirmed what they had found.
